The Step Sequencer Project
This is a preliminary design for the Sequencer Controller front panel, which will be aligned with the main front panel. (The design will be revised to match the main front design.) The sequencer controller will have four channels, each channel containing
  • Rotating encoder for setting the maximum number of steps for the channel
  • LED showing that the channel is currently active
  • LED showing that the channel is activated
  • Pushbutton for instant GOTO the channel
  • Switch to activate/deactivate the channel
  • TRIG IN jacks

In addition the controller will have
  • An LCD display showing the maximum number of steps set for each channel
  • Four audio CV IN jacks
  • One audio CV OUT jack
  • A switch selecting the desired number of channels (one to four)
  • One common TRIG IN jack
  • A switch selecting either separate TRIG IN pr. channel or common TRIG IN for all channels
  • Transpose controls (octaves/notes, not shown on front panel)
So far we're concentrating on a two channel implementation, with slightly reduced functionality (no transpose control, no GOTO). Here is a schematic showing the present design (click image to enlarge).
